We, at AXIS, want you to know a few things about what to do now that you are a Christian. Each quarter at AXIS we highlight a different Justice Ministry that is bringing the hope of God’s love in a practical way to people across the world. This quarter our featured Justice Project is Children’s Cup.

Children’s Cup’s purpose is to take humanitarian and spiritual aid into the hard places where war, natural disasters and disease epidemics have devastated societies.

These children in hard places know horrors our children have never heard of. Food, shelter, medicine and education are not enough to heal their emotions. Most have been sexually abused, beaten and some have even been forced to murder and maim as child warriors.

They need hope. Hope’s name is Jesus!

Our work currently focuses heavily on Swaziland, Mozambique and Zimbabwe, but efforts continue in Vietnam. In the “What We Do” section of this website, you can learn about what we do in these countries.

Here’s how you can get involved in Children’s Cup today:

PRAY
We believe prayer changes things. There are so many more lives that need to be touched in Africa. Pray with us for continued favor with the governments, and pray that God will grant us the wisdom to navigate these difficult waters. Pray that God will heal these kids and that He’ll use Children’s Cup to bring them the hope they need – hope in Jesus Christ. GIVE
We also believe that God blesses partnerships – when two or more people combine their efforts and resources, so much more can be done for the Kingdom! We need monthly partners – those of you who believe in the vision and mission of Children’s Cup – to step forward and invest the financial resoures required each month to continue to stretch our reach in Africa. Partner with us to buy the food, the medicine, the education materials, and the Bible lessons. We are continually finding new ways to help us give hope to all the children, and it requires a lot of money to do what we do. GO
We need missionaries. Go to Africa for a short-term missions trip and see it all first-hand. It will inject something into your spirit that you’ll never forget. If your church would like to set up a team trip to southern Africa, contact us at info@childrenscup.org. Or if you’d just like to find a team to be a part of, check out our partners at Go Global Missions (www.goglobalmissions.com). They’ll help you through the process of becoming a part of a short-term missions team. If you think you might be ready to commit to a longer time on the mission field, Go Global Missions also has a new Africa internship program in the works right now. Be sure to check them out.

HOW PARENTS CAN PARTNER WITH AXIS

1) PRAY FOR US.  Nothing just “happens.”  We are believing for BIG things at AXIS and we know that the more people who are praying for our services, events, students and leaders the better.  Don’t just drop your kids off on Sunday night and go home; make the ride home a prayer meeting. On your way home pray that God would show up and move mightily in our students.
2) GET THEM THERE. Make sure your students are here @ our weekend service. 5:00-6:30pm in the MPC @ C3 Church.  One great tip to getting your students to church is to offer to be a caravan for any of their friends that want to come as well.  I heard a story once of a dad who told his son that he would get pizza and a ride for any of his friends that wanted to come to youth group.  One year, THREE busses and a TON of pizza later 100 students had come to know the Lord and were attending youth group!  With God ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!
3) VOLUNTEER. There are TONS of ways for parents to connect with AXIS. Whether it’s being a greeter on Sunday nights, helping with a Connect Group, being a host home for Rev Weekend or chaperoning an event. At AXIS we don’t just love teenagers..we love their parents too! We want you to be a part. Contact josh@c3church.com to find out more info on becoming a part of “Team AXIS.”
4) GIVE RESOURCES. We put on some of the most amazing and life-changing camps, retreats and events around. Truth be told though, not every student who wants to go to the events can and most of the time the reason is monetary. If you would like to sponsor a student to attend any of our AXIS events feel free to contact us directly.
